Bonuses, pay changes and leavers
Each change takes effect from its month and stays in the history.
- A bonus belongs to one month. It is paid with that month’s salary and taxed with it, and it shows in every figure for the month.
- A new salary starts on the first of a month. The old contract is kept as history, so earlier months are not recalculated.
- A leaver is not in the payroll for the months after their end date. Their past payslips stay.
A month someone joins or leaves partway through is worked out on the full monthly salary and marked for review: Profflow does not prorate a part month yet. Correct that month with your accountant.
Before deciding on a hire or a raise, AI CFO → Decisions shows what it would cost: the gross, the taxes on both sides, a month’s profit and twelve months of cash.
