Cash flow

What you can spend, before you spend it

Profflow reads the balance from your bank statement and lays out every payment already known for the next ninety days: customers’ invoices on their due dates, bills, salaries and taxes. The lowest day ahead, less the reserve you keep, is what you can spend.

What goes into the forecast

  • Customers’ invoices

Each open invoice on its due date; one already late is shown as late, not counted as paid.

  • Supplier bills

Each bill on its due date, or on the day you scheduled it.

  • Salaries and payroll taxes

Net pay and the TSD on the 10th, from the payroll itself.

  • VAT

The KMD payment on the 20th, from the month’s invoices.

Only payments already known are on the line. Months further out are an estimate from the months behind, and are marked as one.

Told in time

Alerts before the day they matter

  • Under the reserve

The day the projection goes under your reserve, and its lowest point.

  • Cash runs out

The day the balance would go below zero on the payments known.

  • A large payment ahead

A payment bigger than what is safe to spend, or a fifth of the balance.

  • Customers late

Invoices past due, the total and the oldest of them.

  • An unusual payment

More than twice what you usually pay that supplier, or a large first payment.

Frequently
asked questions

Can’t find your answer? Write to us

  • No. It reads the bank statement and counts. The reserve is a number you choose; nothing is set aside in your account.

  • Ninety days day by day, from payments already known. Further out, month by month, the forecast uses a trend from your past months and says so.

  • An invoice past its due date is shown as late and counted two weeks from today, marked as an estimate — the forecast never expects it today. A bill past its date is counted as paid tomorrow.
